Seven states are pushing for blocks on President Barack Obama's mandatory birth control coverage on health insurance policies for employees of religious institutions, says the Associated Press. I completely agree, for several reasons. On a constitutional level, this represents a violation to separation of church and state policies. On a pragmatic level, there are plethora of health necessities that aren't covered or are inadequately covered. If we're going to start legislating about insurance, let's start by getting better coverage for real medical needs, not electives.
